O&T Farms produces an Omega-3 feed ingredient called linPRO-R through an innovative, parented dry-extrusion process. Flaxseed is one of the core ingredients and provides dairy cows with an Omega-3 anti-inflammatory protected energy source. They have created a rumen protected fat source that is a great energy source and exceptional during the transitional period.

Their process of dry extrusion, uses pressure, friction, and self-created heat to erupt oilseeds and gelatinize starches around the flaxseed’s fat cells. During the process, protein-fat and protein-starch matrices are formed and anti-nutritional factors are dissipated, creating an Omega-3 protected fat source with an excellent by-pass fat value.
