Global agriculture firm H.J. Baker & Bro. Inc. has opened its Innovation Lab at the company’s Connecticut headquarters, which aims to identify market opportunities across the feed, fertilizer and sulphur business areas. The person who will head up the new lab as director is Louis Angerame.
Angerame has been with the company for seven years, most recently as manager of Information Technology where he developed solutions to complex challenges.Previously, he was with GCommerce, a high-tech procurement solutions firm based in Des Moines, Iowa.Angerame is a graduate of St. John’s University in New York.“Louis brings entrepreneurial skill, technological expertise and a passion for innovation to the company,” says President and CEO Christopher V.B. Smith. “He has integrated these values into growing our IT department, so it was natural for him to lead the Innovation Lab.We expect the Innovation Lab to create new ideas and sales channels across all business areas.”
Replacing Angerame as manager of IT is Mike Forbes, who was a technician for five years.He has a bachelor’s degree in business computer information systems from Hofstra University and resides in Stamford, Connecticut.He previously worked for Andersen Consulting and CNBC. PD
