More than 150 customers and fellow beef producers in attendance saw facilities demonstrations and listened as team members discussed marketing opportunities available to Wulf’s feeder cattle suppliers.

Beef producers on hand saw Cattle Depot improvements including new pens, working facilities and installation of the Herringbone gate system.

Demonstrations also included Wulf Cattle’s feeder cattle management system. This management system sorts cattle into specific target markets, ultimately adding value.

Other information presented included access to value added programs, meticulous feed and water management, and high quality genetics.

The Wulf Cattle procurement team was on hand to discuss purchasing feeder calves this fall. Wulf cattle buyers Nate Knobloch and Bob Metzger were arranging ranch visits.

Travis Edeal, IMI Global, was on hand to discuss the qualification process for various value-added programs, including source and age verified, Global Animal Partnership (GAP), Non-Hormone Treated Cattle (NHTC) and Verified Natural.

The event concluded with an educational seminar focusing on preparing calves for the fall calf run.

Jerry Wulf, president, Wulf Cattle, and Lucas Sutherland, manager, Wulf’s Cattle Depot, explained the changes and updates in Wulf Cattle operations.

Mark Anderson, executive director, NALF, and former manager at Cervi Feedlot, Greeley, Colorado, discussed the advantages of Limousin influenced cattle in a feedlot setting, especially in natural programs.

Blaine Hopfauf, consulting veterinarian, Interstate Veterinary Clinic, Mandan, North Dakota, presented health and vaccination information about keeping calves healthy in the most stressful time of their life. end mark
