In a recent poll, Progressive Cattlemanasked, “What do you think of the animal ID rules now in full effect?”
Only 22 percent agreed with the animal ID rules; they said the rules allow for flexibility in ID and that traceability is needed.
Almost overtaking the majority, 37 percent said they are still uncertain and that “only time will tell if they’re working.”
Forty-one percent said they are still objecting to the animal ID rules. For them, the USDA requirements are too excessive.
