In a recent online poll, Progressive Cattleman asked, “What's the best month for weaning?”

The summer months did not fair well. Only about 17.3 percent said June. A few readers, 6.4 percent, said July was the best month. Another 9.1 percent said August was the best time for weaning.

The fall months received the majority of the vote. Around 28.2 percent said September was the ideal month for weaning. October won the highest vote; 39.1 percent said October was the best month for weaning.  end mark
