In a recent online poll, Progressive Cattle asked, "Where do you get your hay supply?"
The majority of producers (66.4%) said they raise their own hay.
More than 28.3% responded that they buy or trade for their hay supply, and the remainder (5.3%) said they hired custom harvesters to put up their hay.
