Zoetis has announced a new advanced implant applicator designed specifically for user ease and precision. The Synovex Exact10 applicator features multiple design improvements that allow for user comfort and ease, no matter what type of cattle operation. LD820 RFX Bluetooth Indicator from Intercomp

Tilt bucket from Werk-Brau 

Werk-Brau introduces the tilting bucket with increased tilt force and 45 degrees of tilt in both directions for maximum control and articulation in ditching, grading and sloping applications. Stimulator 5 + PMH from Bimeda Biologicals

Bimeda Biologicals is pleased to announce the newest addition to their Stimulator line of modified-live virus (MLV) vaccines: Stimulator 5 + PMH. With this launch, Bimeda Biologicals adds to their broad portfolio of cattle vaccines another effective combination vaccine that helps protect cattle against some of the most common – and costly – viral and bacterial pathogens associated with bovine respiratory disease (BRD).

This vaccine takes Bimeda Biologicals 5-way viral vaccine – that has proven its ability to go toe-to-toe with some of the most commonly used and more recognized MLV vaccine brands in large-scale research trials – and combines it with bacterial antigen to provide veterinarians and cattle producers a new, cost-effective option to help keep the cattle that they care for healthy.

Stimulator 5 + PMH has been shown to be effective for the vaccination of healthy cattle 5 months old or older against infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR), bovine viral diarrhea type 1a (BVD I), bovine viral diarrhea type 2 (BVD II), parainfluenza3 (PI3), bovine respiratory syncytial virus (BRSV) as well as Mannheimia haemolytica and Pasteurella multocida.

This product, like other combination vaccines, requires the user to aseptically rehydrate the freeze-dried modified-live vaccine with the accompanying bottle of bacterin-toxoid. Mix reconstituted vial well. Administer 2 milliliters subcutaneously in the side of the neck followed by a second dose of Mannheimia haemolytica – Pasteurella multocida (PMH BAC) to be given 14 to 28 days after the first dose.

Tauramox from Norbrook

Norbrook has added Tauramox (moxidectin) injectable solution to its extensive portfolio of cattle health products available to North American producers and veterinarians. Tauramox is the first generic Cydectin (moxidectin) injectable solution available for the treatment of a broad range of internal and external parasites that impact the health and performance of beef and nonlactating dairy cattle (under 20 months old).

Ready-to-use Tauramox contains 1% moxidectin and is labeled to control adult and certain larval forms of 12 types of roundworms, including the more devastating ostertagia species, lungworms (Dictyocaulus viviparus adults and L4), grubs (Hypoderma bovis and lineatum), mites and lice (Linognathus vituli and Solenopotes capillatus). The product provides up to 42 days control of Dictyocaulus viviparus and Oesophagostomum radiatum; 35 days of control of Haemonchus placei; and 14 days control of Ostertagia ostertagi and Trichostrongylus axei.

Tauramox has a short, 21-day pre-slaughter withdrawal time, and producers can expect the same weight gain advantage as with Cydectin injectable. Tauramox is approved for use in beef cattle 8 weeks old and older, and in nonlactating dairy cows 8 weeks to 20 months old. It is not approved for use in veal calves. It is available in 500-milliliter bottles.
