With parts of the country battling their way back from drought and U.S. cattle numbers reaching historic lows over the last few years, it’s reasonable to ask when producers are going to start rebuilding their herds.

Progressive Cattle asked readers “Are you expanding your herd this year?” A grand majority of respondents (65.4%) said no, not this year. On a positive note, 34.6% of respondents said yes to expanding this year.
