On Friday, Oct. 4, current Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack returned to World Dairy Expo to say he accepted that challenge to develop strategies that help small and midsized operations continue to be in business.

Speaking to a different kind of leadership, the event’s second presenter, Mohit Rajhans – a media and digital marketing consultant – offered his thoughts on the potential for those working in agriculture to become experts in artificial intelligence (AI) in the agri-food context. His session spurred numerous questions from the audience, notably: “How can AI improve communication with foreign workers?”

After 18 months of planning and preparation, Freshly Dairy began processing non-homogenized whole milk in two flavors – chocolate and traditional white milk – in August 2022 just west of Indianapolis in Lizton, Indiana.
