Anderson is a recent graduate of Dordt College, where she received her Bachelor of Science in agriculture. At Dordt, she served as an officer of the Agriculture Club and was a member of the Pre-Veterinary Club. She served the college as agriculture ambassador, teacher assistant and tutor. Anderson also held employment with a large-scale swine production company, New Fashion Pork, during her time in the Midwest.
“It’s very important to us at Progressive Publishing that we work with individuals who can build trusting relationships with our staff and readers, and Madi is very capable in that regard. She comes to us highly recommended from advisers in her college program, exceeding their expectations in dependability, professionalism and leadership capabilities,” says Lynn Jaynes, managing editor of Progressive Forage. “We’re excited to work with Madi and introduce her to our readers.”
Anderson grew up in Bend, Oregon, participating in 4-H and FFA, and spending time on the family ranch. She credits her passion for agriculture to the hard-working family members who showed her why farming and ranching are professions to be proud of and advocate for.
“Working with Progressive Publishing is a dream come true,” Anderson says. “This position allows me to combine my passions for industry and communication, fulfilling my goal to educate agriculturalists and the public about the industry I care for so dearly.“
Anderson would like to thank her family, friends, mentors and professors at Dordt College for pushing her and supporting her dreams and aspirations. She credits them for her success and for the opportunities she’s had in her life.
“I cannot thank Progressive Publishing enough for selecting me for this internship,” Anderson says. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to tell the stories of and educate about the agriculture industry and its people.”
