Sundee Holtman has been welcomed to the Progressive Publishing team for the summer and will be working with the Progressive Forage and Ag Proud Idaho team as an editorial intern. Holtman is a student at Utah State University studying agricultural communications and will be graduating in the spring of 2022. She found her love for agricultural communications as she noticed all too often agriculturalists need a voice in their corner, especially in the media.
“We are excited to have Sundee on our team for the summer,” said Joy Hendrix, managing editor of Progressive Forage. “She shows a lot of promise and has the best interests of our readers in mind. She has extensive experience within the industry, and we are confident she will be an asset to our team and our readers this summer.”
Holtman is originally from eastern Oregon where her family raised beef cattle, farmed and operated a grain mill. Through Holtman’s involvement on the farm, in FFA and within her small community, she decided she would remain involved in agriculture no matter where life took her. She now lives in rural southern Idaho with her husband on their family’s farm and ranch.
“The lifestyle agriculture provides is what I live for,” says Holtman. “But I feel especially blessed to be involved in my own way by being able to promote agriculturalists, share their stories and put my skills to practice through this internship.”
She is most looking forward to chatting with producers and making meaningful connections. Holtman would like to thank the Progressive Publishing team for the opportunity, her mentors and professors, and especially her family for their constant support of all her endeavors.
