New Yanmar-powered ASV VT-75 brings superior lift capacity
ASV, an industry-leading brand of all-purpose and all-season compact track loaders and skid steers, introduces the VT-75 posi-track compact track loader. Powered by a Yanmar engine, the vertical-lift, 74.3-horsepower machine excels in at-height work, loading trucks and many other tasks in construction and landscaping applications. Filled with a variety of comfort and productivity features and technologies, the midframe compact track loader provides a premium experience while allowing operators to complete more work in more places.
Projects go more smoothly with the VT-75. The 8,310-pound compact track loader’s Yanmar Tier 4 Final diesel engine transmits more power and flow directly to the attachment thanks to the machine’s high-performance hydraulics and direct-drive pumps. A 10-foot, 5-inch lift height combined with a 2,300-pound rated operating capacity and 6,571-pound tipping load makes jobs like loading over the side of high dump trucks an easy and productive task.
ASV’s well-known posi-track rubber track undercarriage provides VT-75 operators with unbeatable traction and mobility year-round. The system includes a suspension made up of two independent torsion axles per undercarriage. These provide a smooth ride over all types of terrain and contribute to a high speed of 9.1 mph. The flexible track and suspension also mean maximized ground contact and – as a result – more traction and pushing power even in steep, wet, muddy and slippery conditions. A ground pressure of 4.5 psi minimizes turf damage and contributes to more flotation in tricky conditions. The ability to transit over a variety of conditions is emphasized with a leading 12-inch ground clearance, providing easy passage over large obstacles with less risk of getting stuck.
AI-powered feeding recommendations from Precision Livestock Technologies
Precision Livestock Technologies (PLT), a leading provider of software and hardware solutions related to livestock feeding and health, has introduced the first system that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to predict cattle feed intake and make feeding recommendations. The system generates daily quantitative feeding predictions based on hundreds of data points gathered from PLT's machine vision Bunk Management System and external data sources, taking into account feeding rates, feeding times, feeding cycles, cattle behavior, ration type, weather and other factors. The company developed its AI-based algorithms through machine learning techniques, based on over 150,000 discrete pen days.
The system replicates the capabilities of a hyper-observant and highly trained cattle feeding professional. Using the system, PLT clients can both automate feeding decisions and give their employees an expert system against which to check assumptions and make corrections before costly mistakes are made. Rather than apply a "one-size-fits-all" approach, the technology is configured to allow PLT to efficiently tune the output to match specific feeding protocols.
X-Treme Tree Reaper from IronCraft
IronCraft LLC, formerly branded Titan Implement, introduces the X-Treme Tree Reaper, a new stout brush cutter attachment. Engineered for demanding applications, the X-Treme Tree Reaper is available with two direct drive motor options – a 16-26 gallons per minute (GPM) gear motor (case drain not required) or a 17-30 GPM bent axis piston motor (case drain required).
Robust design includes bolt-on replaceable skid shoes and a tapered deck for lower ground cutting. Three 5/8-inch AR400 blades cut dense brush, limbs and trees up to 7 inches in diameter. The non-welded blades are quick and easy to change out in the field. An optional grill and mulching teeth – which produce finer, more aesthetic output – are also available. With cutting widths of 60 inches, 72 inches and 78 inches, there is an X-Treme Tree Reaper to suit a wide range of applications and carriers.
They are ideal for on-farm clearing of pastures, land reclamation projects, clearing fencerows and commercial land clearing applications such as right-of-way clearing, cutting fire lanes and other projects where speed is desired and aesthetics are not as critical. Each unit is warranted for a full year.
New Holland enhances Genesis T8 Series tractors for 2025
More power, same look and feel. For 2025, New Holland is introducing new model additions to its Genesis T8 Series with PLM Intelligence that boasts greater power. The newcomers to the T8 Series deliver a surge in horsepower and refined engine control with the same powerful and reliable engine as current T8 Series models.
Across the T8 Series lineup – T8.325, T8.355, T8.385, T8.415 and T8.440 – customers and operators can expect to see a 5- to 15-rated horsepower increase, depending on the specific model number.
This update was made to help operators better address strenuous tasks and applications like tillage. Equipped with new hydraulic remote valves and couplers, the new lineup of T8 Series tractors draws power from beyond fittings to boost reliability and quality, while optimizing hydraulic power workflow. Engine software enhancements have also been made to maximize output, granting further operational efficiency and improving fuel economy.
“Our customers continue to seek more power and performance from their tractors without having to change the body or framework. In a sense, get stronger without getting bigger,” says Ken Paul, product marketing manager, high-horsepower tractors for New Holland. “The result is a new lineup of our Genesis T8 Series. These new models are designed to deliver greater engine power and elevate fuel economy without compromising the look and feel customers and operators appreciate from current T8 models.”
