What new highlights can international visitors look forward to enjoying?

Miller: The International Lounge will feature a new café area exclusively for international attendees.

The café will be located on the west end of the International Lounge and include pub-style tables, additional food and drink options and be known as a new place for international visitors to relax, network and conduct business.

We are also adding an attendee bag check service in the East Lobby of the Coliseum where visitors can store luggage for the day.

Other international amenities include:

What other services does the lounge provide?

Miller:

  • Internet, couches for meetings and to relax, on-site food service and complimentary coffee, milk, soda and snacks

  • Email: There will be two computers located in the International Lounge for checking email.

  • International exhibits, refreshments, a comfortable environment and the International Business Center are located in this area.

  • Reserved seating for guests to watch the Dairy Cattle Show

Where is the lounge located?

Miller: The International Lounge is located on the third floor of the Coliseum. One can enter via the stairs on the East or West Lobbies.

Who is welcome to enter the lounge?

Miller: Only registered international attendees, International Lounge Commercial Exhibitors and interpreters are allowed access to the International Lounge. All individuals must have a commemorative 2018 World Dairy Expo pin and red country ribbon to enter.

International guests can register and pick up their pin and ribbon as well as a bag full of useful resources at the International Registration Desk, located in the East Lobby of the Coliseum.

Why do you think an attendee from outside the U.S. should visit the lounge during their time at World Dairy Expo?

Miller: The International Lounge is the ideal place to network, conduct business, socialize and watch the show. It’s the only area located on grounds for international guests to decompress, reflect and plan their day in a quiet space, free of distractions.

The lounge offers a routine place to meet and share ideas with fellow countrymen and women as well as other international dairy enthusiasts.

Railbird contest

This year, texting opportunities have grown to include a Railbird contest, offering one class contest per breed show. Attendees will have the chance to text in their top four placings for the designated breed show class prior to the judge making his first pull.

When the expo’s official judge has completed the class placings, the Railbird contest results will be final. Railbird entries will be time-stamped with submission.

The contestant with the earliest time stamp and correct placing will be deemed the winner and notified by text. The winner will receive a World Dairy Expo prize.  end mark
