What education are you bringing with you to this position?
I have a bachelor’s in biology and a minor in captive wildlife management.
Please describe your agricultural background.
I grew up around dairy farms and cash cropping but have never worked on a farm. I have an extensive animal health background from working in a large and small animal veterinary clinic, and also working with primates for six years.
What territory will you cover?
I will be working with our hoof specialist assisting hoof trimmers throughout the country.
What are your new responsibilities?
I will be working closely with our hoof specialist to make sure all hoof trimmers’ needs are met. I will also be the training specialist for the inside sales department.
What previous positions have you held?
I was a veterinary assistant in a clinic that handled both small and large animal clients, and for the last six years, I was a research specialist working with primates.
Who has made the biggest impact on your career?
The small animal veterinarian who I worked closely with really made a great impact on my career. He helped to grow my passion for animal health and care, as well as working closely with customers to see what was best for the animal, as well as affordable treatment plans. He really cares about each client and taught me a great deal.
How will you be of most help to producers in your region or area of expertise?
I will be of most help to producers in my region by making sure I understand their needs and making sure those needs are met. I will keep them informed of all the current products and pricing out there and will be able to give them feedback on those products to help them decide what will be the best choice for them.

What goals would you like to accomplish while in this position?
I would like to grow my knowledge base of the hoof products and how they are used, as well as become an efficient trainer for new employees. PD
