What education are you bringing with you to this position?
I have a degree in animal science from Washington State University.
Please describe your agricultural background.
I grew up on a dairy farm, showing and judging. I also judged collegiately. During my 10 years at Genex, I worked as an A.I. technician, cow evaluator, and eventually became a national account manager.
What territory will you cover?
My focus will be large and small dairy farms in the Pacific Northwest, i.e. Washington, Oregon and Idaho.
What are your new responsibilities?
I will focus on sire procurement with an emphasis on Jersey acquisition, along with assisting on special projects, and product and service research and development.
How will you be of most help to producers in your region or area of expertise?
My goal is to provide strong, diverse genetics for producers in my area. I will also assist them in reaching their genetic goals within their herds.
Why did you choose this company?
CRV appealed to me because of their core values and high value for their employees. I was also drawn to the opportunity to be a part of the growth and development of their genetics department in the U.S.
What goals would you like to accomplish while in this position?
My goal is to build a strong, diverse Jersey lineup that fits the needs of producers not only in the U.S. but all over the world in many different milk markets. PD
