Please describe your agricultural background.
I was born and raised on a registered Holstein herd in northwest Wisconsin. I am currently involved in my wife's family farm in West Union, Iowa.

What education are you bringing with you to this position?
I attended the University of Wisconsin – River Falls.

What territory will you cover?
Missouri, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas.

What are your new responsibilities?
I will be assisting Jersey owners with animal identification, using the herd improvement services offered by the American Jersey Cattle Association and also promoting the Jersey breed. Other parts of my role will also include linear type evaluation of Jersey cows and working with the Jersey Marketing Service.

What previous positions have you held?
I have a diverse background from being a dairy producer and also on the customer relations side. I was a regional classifier for the Holstein Association as well.

What excites you most about working in your new role?
I am really excited to go out and meet the Jersey breeders and prospective Jersey owners who are located in my region, and also contribute to the continued growth of the Jersey breed.

What goals would you like to accomplish in this position?
I want to see the AJCA grow and continue to prosper while helping breeders reach their own goals for genetic improvement and herd profitability. I am here to assist them in every way that I can. PD
