Land O’Lakes Purina Feed supported Jersey youth during the 2011 National Jersey Convention in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. A cash giveaway was presented to Amanda Killian of Blair, Wisconsin, at the 54th National Heifer Sale on June 25 to be put towards the Jersey Youth Academy.
Killian was awarded the $500 cash prize at the sale after registering for the sweepstakes sponsored by Land O’Lakes Purina Feed and having her name randomly selected from all entries. Killian also received another $500 on behalf of LAND O LAKES Cows Match Jersey Blend calf milk replacer after purchasing an IVF cycle at the 54th National Heifer Sale. All of the proceeds from the sale went towards supporting the Jersey Youth Academy.
Killian and her husband, along with their five children, farm near Blair, Wisconsin, where they milk about 80 registered cows, 50 Jerseys and 30 Holsteins. PD
