What education are you bringing with you to this position?
I received a master’s and doctorate degrees in animal science with an emphasis on dairy cattle nutrition fromSouth Dakota State University. I also hold master’s degrees in animal science from universities in Morocco and France.

Please describe your agricultural background.
Although I did not grow up on a farm, early into my childhood I developed a passion for animal agriculture by raising and showing different animal species.

What are your new responsibilities?
As a dairy research scientist, I work closely with other members of our ruminant research team on different research questions pertaining to the use of Alltech technologies in dairy nutrition.

Specifically, I am responsible for conducting dairy research at the Alltech Ruminant Physiology Lab in South Dakota and coordinating research with partnering universities around the U.S.

The focus of our research is finding optimal applications of Alltech technologies in different feeding systems. Other assignments of the position include providing technical support to our sales team and our customers.

What territory will you cover?
South Dakota

What previous positions have you held?
Prior to joining Alltech, I was a postdoctoral research animal scientist with the USDA Agricultural Research Service in Brookings, South Dakota. While in this position, I worked on different areas to improve the added value of byproducts of the biofuel industries through feed processing and feeding to different animal species including fish and dairy cows.

What excites you most about working in your new role?
The ability to share my passion for research and help our customers achieve their performance goals is what drives me the most in my job. Also, it is valuable for me to develop new skills and knowledge in different areas.

Because of the wide range of technologies that Alltech offers producers from nutrition to health management, it is both challenging and fascinating to find more efficient ways to apply those technologies.

How will you be of most help to producers in your region or area of expertise?
My diverse background and nutrition experience would certainly benefit producers by giving them the best advice on how to use our products, and most importantly, by using our research resources to give the most accurate recommendations on our technologies.

What goals would you like to accomplish while in this position?
