What education are you bringing with you to this position?
I received my undergraduate degree in agricultural economics from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and an MBA from Edgewood College.

Please describe your agricultural background.
I was raised on a dairy, beef and crop farm in northern Illinois. I’ve worked in the dairy industry my entire adult life.

What territory will you cover?
Canada, Mexico and the U.S.

What are your new responsibilities?
I will be responsible for leading the market development team. Our goal is to deliver products and solutions to our dealer organization that help dairy producers yield high quality milk.

What previous positions have you held?
Most recently, I was working for A.I. company ABS Global as the general manager of their North American operations. Before that, I worked for BouMatic holding multiple positions until I was appointed vice president of sales and marketing.

Who has made the biggest impact on your career?
There are two people: Ron Cowan, an executive at a utility company I worked at early on in my career, and my high school basketball coach.

How will you be of most help to producers in your region or area of expertise?
I believe it is my responsibility to enable our marketing team and field personnel to deliver solutions which help dairy producers harvest high quality milk, while at the same time, increase their operation’s profitability.

What goals would you like to accomplish while in this position?
My goal is to work with our marketing team and field personnel to deliver solutions to the DeLaval dealer organizations which assist in the sustainability of our customers’ operations. This means helping them produce high quality milk while being environmentally responsible today and in the future.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I will be leading a team of individuals who want to make a difference in the dairy industry. I like this quote from Abraham Lincoln: “The best way to predict the future is create it.” PD
