What education are you bringing with you to this position?
I have a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Northern Illinois University and a master’s degree in communications from the University of Illinois. I also received a social media marketing certification at Rutgers’ Center for Management Development.
What territory will you cover?
MDA covers 92 counties in parts of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, Delaware and Maryland.
What are your new responsibilities?
My team will create marketing campaigns for targeted audiences throughout our region.
What previous positions have you held?
I started my career as a television reporter and have worked for a variety of entities, including the American Pharmacists Association, McDonald’s, SUPERVALU, Highmark Inc. and U.S. Senator Barbara Mikulski.
Who has made the biggest impact on your career?
I can’t say because everyone I’ve worked with over the years has made an impact.
How will you be of most help to producers in your region or area of expertise?
Our efforts are geared to help stem the tide of declining milk consumption and preference. We are planning campaigns that reach out to diverse communities that do not currently drink milk.

MDA is investing heavily in its marketing communications programs with strong messages and sound partnerships that promote the quality of fluid milk and dairy products.
What goals would you like to accomplish while in this position?
I would like to communicate directly with the consumer about the benefits of milk.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Right here — promoting milk sales! PD
