Laird Manufacturing recently marked the opening of its new, state-of-the-art facility with a celebration attended by nearly 400 customers, vendors and associates. The demand for the California-based company’s cattle feed products necessitated the expansion to a facility nearly four times the size of its previous location. When operating at full capacity, the new facility will more than double the current output.
The company has already hired numerous new employees and plans to hire an additional 10-15 people.
The new, 56,000-square-foot operation is part of the company’s move to increase capacity and production in expanding markets.
The company has also enhanced its market presence through strategic partnerships with Nuhn Industries and Versatile Equipment .
Laird Manufacturing’s general manager and co-owner Isaac Isakow stated, “Our expansion is not only to accommodate what we have done, but what we are going to do.
We are focused on manufacturing new and innovative products to support our customers’ needs and the changing requirements of the
cattle feeding industry.”
The larger facility created room for several additional capabilities and new equipment including a high-definition plasma cutting table, plate steel roller and more than a dozen new cranes. PD
