Please describe your agricultural background
I come to Animart with a true passion for animal health and working with farmers to make their life easier. I grew up on a small beef cattle farm in Michigan and have always had a love for working with cows. I graduated with an agriculture degree from Michigan State University in 2008 and since graduation have worked with farmers in the seed industry.
What education are you bringing with you to this position?
I graduated from Michigan State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture and natural resource communications.
What territory will you cover?
I will be covering Michigan, Northern Ohio and Northern Indiana.
What are your new responsibilities?
My responsibilities will include working with producers to find solutions to the challenges they face every day. I will be a resource for animal health products and will work to educate producers on total dairy solutions.
What excites you most about working in your new role?
I am extremely excited to be working in the dairy industry. I love working in agriculture â I have never known of any other industry where producers are so passionate and committed to what they are doing. I canât wait to use my knowledge base and the many resources available here to educate and provide solutions to producers.
How will you be of most help to producers in your region or area of expertise?
Customer service â Producers these days have an awful lot on their plate and need someone that is committed to going to work for them and genuinely has their best interest at heart. At the end of the day, it makes me happy to know that I can make life easier for producers.
What previous positions have you held?
After graduation I went to work for Garst Seed Company in northeast Indiana. In early 2010 I came back to Michigan to work as a sales consultant for Crop Production Services.
Why did you choose this company?
This company is like a big family. As an animal health company, we have a huge variety of products to provide total solutions for dairy and livestock producers. They started out as a small company over 20 years ago and have been able to grow because their customer base believed in them.
