In a recent online poll, Progressive Forage Grower asked, “Your dad is a hoarder; the shop is crowded and a mess, and it's all going to be yours someday. What do you do?”
It was nearly a 50-50 vote, but the majority decided to at least put a dent in the clutter.
A total of 55 percent said they would rather start cleaning out Dad's shop.
Forty-eight percent said that they would “throw out obvious junk, but if in question, error in favor of keeping things.” Another 7 percent said they would “start tossing things. He'll never miss them, but if he does, he won't be mad long.”
A good portion felt differently. Forty-five percent said it's not theirs to tinker with, so they won't touch Dad's shop. FG
