In a recent online poll, Progressive Cattleman asked, “How frequently do you consult with a veterinarian about your herd?”

Only 1 percent said that they consult with their veterinarian daily. Six percent said weekly; 12 percent said monthly; and another 12 percent said annually.

Over a quarter (28 percent) of the voting readers said they hardly ever consult with their veterinarian.

The majority, however, check in every so often. Forty-one percent said they consult with their veterinarian about their herd every few months.  end mark
