800-900 Series bale beds from DewEze

Harper Industries recently launched the latest evolution in the DewEze bale bed line. Available in parallel and pivot squeeze models, the new 800 and 900 Series bale beds offer improved productivity, storage, visibility and serviceability, as well as enhanced styling.

To accommodate customer preferences, the new bale beds have available front and rear toolboxes, resulting in greater storage capacity than previous models, which only offered front toolboxes. This update provides extra space for holding tools, net wrap and other items. Additionally, rub rails are now optional for conveniently tying down cargo on the bed.

The next-generation bale beds also boast greater flexibility with new accessories to improve productivity. These include optional spikes, which easily install on the cross tube for stacking and pulling bales in or out of rows. Other updates have been made to improve visibility. A redesigned headache rack offers a clear view through the back window and for rear-facing cameras. The taillights have also been repositioned for better line of sight throughout all arm positions.

During the redesign, engineers updated the styling to create an even more attractive-looking product for customers. Serviceability was improved, too, with easier access to the hydraulic reservoir and an improved pin design.

Xtend Trough sensor from Ranchbot

A new cattle trough monitor from Ranchbot Monitoring Solutions provides ranchers with greater control over their livestock with drinking pattern insights right from the point of consumption. The Xtend Trough sensor provides ranchers with greater visibility over livestock drinking patterns and the ability to anticipate potential issues.

This wireless solution, which is an add-on to any Ranchbot Monitor, is a set-and-forget product that provides ranchers with stock consumption data displaying insights into the average and minimum drinking levels – further indicating the well-being of their stock.

The data insights ranchers will receive provide a clear view of whether the overall system is coping with supply and demand as well as foreshadowing emerging issues. This is vital for ranchers to receive near-real-time alerts of potential issues as they externally affect the well-being of their stock, as well as operations and profitability.

Synovex Primer from Zoetis

Zoetis recently announced that Synovex Primer is now available for cattle producers who need to increase weight gain in growing beef steers or heifers in the drylot production phase. The Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM) approved Synovex Primer earlier this year, along with an updated label indication for Synovex Choice in the drylot.

Synovex Primer is a low-dose combination product with 50 milligrams of trenbolone acetate (TBA) and 7 milligrams of estradiol benzoate. Research demonstrated that Synovex Primer significantly increased average daily gain at 2.47 pounds per head per day (p = 0.0016) when compared with the sham-implanted group at 2.21 pounds per head per day over the course of the 90-day study.
