Some people spend their summers at the beach or on a lake. With second or third crop in by now, you’re probably thinking you’ve spent some significant time in a hayfield. 

On June 21, the Canadian Dairy Commission (CDC) announced a 2.5% increase in the farmgate prices for milk, to be implemented on Sept. 1. This increase comes after DFC made a request for an advance adjustment from the CDC.

The NRC (2001) prediction of milk protein yield was based on metabolizable protein (MP) requirements and supply and a fixed efficiency of utilization of 67% of this supply.
