A Wichita-based farm equipment company whose roots date to the early 1940s has announced it is expanding to Missouri with the purchase of a Kansas City dealership. The Wichita Eagle reports that Foley Equipment Co. plans to purchase Dean Machinery of Kansas City, Missouri, in a deal that is expected to close in January.
The acquisition will give Foley an additional five counties in Kansas, meaning the company will have outlets in 104 of the state's 105 counties. It will also expand its presence to 40 counties in Missouri.
It is not clear how the acquisition will affect employees. Foley Equipment has 531 employees, Dean Machinery has 315. PD
