Enjoy a live concert by four-time Grammy nominee, five-time ACM and CMT award winner, Trace Adkins. Adkins will perform at the International Agri-Center's Concerts for a Cause on Feb. 14, during World Ag Expo in Tulare, California. Proceeds from the concert will benefit agricultural education at a local, state and national level.
"We're pleased to continue raising money to support agricultural education, not only in our community, but at a state and national level as well," said Jerry Sinift, CEO for the International Agri-Center. "Last year's event was extremely successful – we were able to contribute significantly to many worth-while causes."
In 2011, the inaugural year for the program, a gift of more than $60,000 was made to the College of the Sequoias, Tulare Center for Agriculture and Technology; a contribution was made to the National FFA to send two future agriculture teachers to the World Food Prize in Iowa; and $20,000 was contributed to the AgVentures! Learning Center.
This year's concert, held in the International Agri-Center's 56,000 square foot indoor entertainment pavilion, will once again benefit the agricultural community.
"We anticipate the growth of Concerts for a Cause from year to year, and will continue to contribute to the agricultural community," Sinift added.
Doors open at 4 p.m. for a pre-party with local country band, Chaparral, followed by Trace Adkins at 6 p.m. Tickets start at $25 for general seating. PD
