New rapid on-farm SCC test detects sub-clinical mastitis
PortaCheck Inc. introduces the PortaSCC Quick Test – the first rapid and affordable, semi-quantitative on-farm test that detects mastitis, including the low SCC levels associated with sub-clinical mastitis.
This easy-to-use product is based on the same proven technology as the patented PortaSCC milk test currently used worldwide. Just add fresh milk and activator solution to the test strip and wait five minutes to compare the results to a color chart. Producers can conveniently check problem cows or quarters, response to a treatment, cows at freshening or dry-off and a group of cows.

R&D LifeSciences launches new digestive enhancement formula
R&D LifeSciences LLC introduces Trigestamace Liquid as the latest addition to its line of products.
The three-in-one digestive enhancement formula includes the benefits of mannin oligo-saccharides (MOS), beta glucans and enzymes, which have been shown to not only enhance digestion but also improve health and increase production when given to both dairy and beef cattle, calves, poultry and swine.
A natural product, Trigestamace Liquid can enhance the palatability of the ration, increase fiber digestion and create an optimized ruminal environment.
The product can be started in cattle shortly after birth by adding to milk replacers and, in dairies, can be applied directly to the TMR.

Mepaco introduces safe, sanitary pallet lifts
Lost-time injuries can take a toll on processors. Mepaco offers a solution with their ergonomically designed EZL2500 and EZ4000 Sanitary Lifts that offer relief to back strain and repetitive stress
injuries. These lifts are fabricated from T304 stainless steel and come with Mepaco’s unique pickle passivated sanitary finish. Both lifts are designed to handle the harshest of wash-down environments.
The EZL2500 model features a low-profile design that allows it to be loaded and unloaded with a pallet truck. It has a 2,500-pound capacity. The EZ4000 model has a 4,000-pound capacity. Other designs such as ground entry, lift and tilt, higher capacity and double scissors units are also available.
Mepaco Lifts have been used in food and beverage production areas, chemical and drug processing clean rooms and general warehousing locations. They have lifts to fit any application including pallets, carts, racks, vats, drums and other containers.
