A collaborative research and extension team, which includes faculty from Washington State University, University of Idaho, USDA-ARS and University of Florida, will be offering dairy cattle genomics workshops in December.
The focus of the workshops is to provide dairy producers, veterinarians and allied industry with the knowledge and tools to make decisions regarding the use of genomic testing.
Topics to be discussed include: introduction to genomics, research updates, case studies and economics of genomics. Who should attend? Dairy producers and managers, veterinarians, allied industry and extension faculty. Experience with genomics is not required.
Workshops will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at these locations:
- Monday, Dec. 1 – Jerome, Idaho
- Wednesday, Dec. 3 – Sunnyside, Washington
- Monday, Dec. 8 – Stephenville, Texas
- Wednesday, Dec. 10 – Okeechobee, Florida
