At the 65th annual meeting of the National Dairy Shrine, Freed Hendricks, Sunshower Acres, Bucyrus, Ohio, was elected president of the organization. Meanwhile, David Pierson, Sapa Ska Holsteins of Lake City, Minnesota, was chosen as president-elect.

Elected to the executive committee along with Hendricks and Pierson were Jenny Mills, Canastota, New York; Alicia Lamb, Oakfield, New York; Coleen Jones, Craigsville, Virginia; and immediate past president Maggie Murphy, Madison, Florida.

The newly elected board of directors includes Tim Abbott, Enosberg, Vermont; Dan Bernick, Long Grove, Iowa; Fowler Branstetter, Edmonton, Kentucky; Mike Brown, Kenosha, Wisconsin; Blaine Crosser, Marysville, Ohio; Jim Dickrell, Monticello, Minnesota; Joe Domecq, East Lansing, Michigan; Nancy Feeney, Davenport, Iowa; Nate Janssen, Rosemont, Illinois; James Krahn, Vernonia, Oregon; Rebekah Mast, Turlock, California; Bob Rowe, Verona, Wisconsin; Larry Schirm, Laurelville, Ohio; Gail Yeiser, Arnold, Maryland; and Leah Ziemba, Madison, Wisconsin.

At the National Dairy Shrine’s annual banquet, over $60,000 in scholarships and awards were awarded to 47 outstanding young people. The awards banquet was attended by 360 Dairy Shrine members, friends and relatives.
