What education are you bringing with you to this position?

I graduated from Wabash Valley College with a degree in ag business.

Please describe your agricultural background.
I have been in the seed industry for most of my working career. For me it's an industry that is ever changing; there is something more to learn with every day! I have a passion for the seed industry where I can apply the best products and technology to keep my customers’ operations successful and growing.

What territory will you cover?
My territory will cover all areas east of the Mississippi River.

What are your new responsibilities?
I will focus on sales of Alta Seeds’ brand of premium sorghum products and private label seed. My responsibilities include business development, agronomic support, product training and test plot supervision.

What previous positions have you held?
Prior to joining Advanta, I held positions in seed sales and management with Syngenta, AgriGold (AgRelient) and Seed Consultants (DuPont).

Who has made the biggest impact on your career?
The person who has made the biggest impact on my career is my father. He has always encouraged me to take the next step and, after you get there, work hard and never look back! Growing up he worked hard to give us what we needed; I try to do the same thing for my family.

How will you be of most help to producers in your region or area of expertise?
I plan to provide a high level of service and support to all of my customers. I will be able to use the vast resources available from Advanta to help my customers and their operations succeed.

Why did you choose this company?
I chose to work for Advanta because of their unique position in the sorghum industry. No other company has devoted as many resources to the development of elite, innovative sorghum as Advanta. Our top priority is helping producers succeed on their farm. We do this by bringing the latest advancements in sorghum technology to the industry. With water becoming more and more valuable, I believe sorghum will continue to play a critical role in the agricultural industry, and Advanta is in a unique position to meet the needs of our growers.

What goals would you like to accomplish while in this position?
I want to give my customers the best sorghum products available and provide outstanding customer service and support while significantly increasing Advanta's share of the sorghum market. PD
