The 2015 University Program Contest has seen another year of enjoyable videos from the students. North Carolina State University has won the 2015 University Program Contest by BCF Technology.
Congratulations, Wolfpack! NCSU will be receiving a complete ultrasound kit to be used for learning purposes at the university.
The winning video included a bovine rendition of Bruno Mars’ Uptown Funk. The students and professors danced alongside furry friends while expressing their need for an ultrasound.
NCSU has competed for three years straight in the University Program Contest. Finally, year three, they have accomplished their goal and took the gold, blue and gold that is.
Danielle Lindquist, DVM and Ph.D. student in food animal pharmacology, states, “Currently, we are learning palpation without any aided technology. Winning this machine will set us apart in the food animal and equine industry as we graduate. Not only will we know how to use ultrasound for pregnancy checks, but also for respiratory diseases and the numerous other applications of ultrasound.”
When asked how they will integrate this into learning opportunities, Danielle states, “We plan on coordinating one-on-one student uses with the machine, putting on wet labs for the Bovine Club, using it as a teaching tool, in addition to respiratory research.”
BCF Technology is happy to award this ambitious and hardworking group of students with an Easi-Scan ultrasound system. PD
