California’s Ag Day at the Capitol on March 20 featured the “World’sLargest School Lunch Tray.” The 8-foot-by-10-foot tray was fi lled withfresh, nutritious, California-grown agricultural products to highlight thebounty of food produced by the state’s diverse agriculture industry.

Four hundred agriculture commodities are produced in California. The lunch tray held enough food to feed 700 school children.
About 2,000 people attended the event, and several state legislatorswere in attendance. Held on the steps of the state Capitol, lawmakers wereinvited to tour booths before they were opened to the public. PD
