What education are you bringing with you to this position?
I earned my doctorate of veterinary medicine from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and am a board certified diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners.
Please describe your agricultural background.
I grew up on a small farm in central Wisconsin and have been a practicing veterinarian for 25 years.
What previous positions have you held?
I have been an active WVMA member for 25 years and recently served as the District 5 representative on the executive board.
What excites you most about working in your new role?
I am most excited about helping Wisconsin veterinarians advocate and promote veterinary medicine while enriching animal and human health.
How will your work in your new role benefit dairy producers?
I believe that the WVMA is the premier organization looking out for the long-term good of the dairy industry. Veterinarians are in a unique position to advocate for the producer, the animals and consumers.
What goals would you like to accomplish while in this position?
I hope to strengthen the role of the WVMA as a leader in animal agriculture, pet health and food safety. PD
