Agricultural Modeling and Training Systems, developer of ruminant nutrition modeling software, has announced the addition of a new software platform, AMTS.Cloud, and has updated the version of their nutrition software, AMTS.Cattle.Professional to version 3.4.4.
The new software platform facilitates data inputs and file access to nutritionists in the field utilizing tablet computers and smart devices. AMTS.Cloud allows users to transfer data via internet and download farm specific information through cloud based data handling as well as nightly file backup.
For this effort, AMTS has hired Fred Rasmussen, from the University of Michigan, to provide program support.
The new version of AMTS.Cattle.Pro adds features such as optimizing multiple diets subject to inventory constraints, custom signature to reports and customizable file saving to the program.
Additionally, users can view ingredients in terms of nutrient contributions in the ration graphically.
“Some of our nutritionists’ clients are very visual learners; this feature will show them, for example, the cost per head of corn silage compared to say, alfalfa haylage, in the form of a pie chart. They can save that, change the ration, and very quickly compare,” states Tom Tylutki, lead nutritionist and CEO of AMTS. PD
