• Twenty dairy industry promoters from across Michigan were recognized by the United Dairy Industry of Michigan (UDIM) for their combined 308 years of volunteer service as members of the state’s Dairy Diplomat Committee.

• Members of the Dairy Business Association of Wisconsin elected two producer members to serve on its board of directors: Jim Ostrom of Milk Source and Kevin Solum of Minglewood, Inc.

• Minnesota Milk Producers Association named Blue Diamond Dairy in Melrose, owned and managed by Glen and Sadie Frericks, as Minnesota’s 2012 Producer of the Year.

• Chaput Family Farms in North Troy, Vermont, which is owned by brothers Reg and Michael Chaput, was named the 2012 Vermont Dairy Farm of the Year.
