What are your new responsibilities?My new responsibilities include developing promotional material, coordinating trade show booths, working with social media promotion and assisting with marketing semen. We have a strong line-up of polled bulls and I also will be promoting polled genetics and how polled works.

The company promotes their bulls and ships semen worldwide.
Please describe your agricultural background.
I grew up on my family’s dairy farm, Briar Holsteins, now located in Monroe, Wisconsin. We place a special focus on polled genetics, especially Red & Whites, and have been breeding polled exclusively for almost five years. I continue to be involved in our dairy farm working with my parents and five younger brothers and sisters.
What education are you bringing with you to this position?
I am a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Platteville with majors in animal science and agri-business and emphases in dairy science and communications and marketing.
What previous positions have you held?
Previously, I was the manager of the Red & White Dairy Cattle Association and editor of their breed publication, The Red Bloodlines.
Who has made the biggest impact on your career?
My parents, Brian and Sue Crull have made the biggest impact on my career. They have instilled in me the importance of hard work, dedication and respect while sharing with me the love for the dairy industry, most specifically Red & Whites. Their support, encouragement and suggestions have led me to be successful.
How will you be of most help to producers in your region or area of expertise?
I will be able to serve as a communication link to promote the company’s bulls by developing flyers, advertisements and social media promotional material.
Why did you choose this company?
This company is a progressive and innovative company that places a strong focus on polled genetics. Their use of social media as a method of promotion is very effective and appeals to a widespread audience. I am looking forward to working with them on their unique marketing and promotion techniques.
What goals would you like to accomplish while in this position?
My goals are to continue to enhance and promote the value of polled genetics worldwide. I would also like to further develop my social media skills by using various types of social media including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In 5 years, I see myself continuing to advocate for polled genetics in the dairy industry. DairyBullsOnline is on the cutting-edge of polled genetics and our main goal is to add homozygous polled bulls of all dairy breeds. PD
