Milk Source purchases dairy farms in Michigan

Milk Source LLC has purchased three dairy farms in Hillsdale and Lenawee counties. The Kaukauna, Wisconsin-based company expands to Michigan with the purchase.

Partner to the company, Jim Ostrom, has said that the company was impressed by the Michigan communities. The farms were purchased from Rabo AgriFinance.

According to a Toledo News Now article by Megan Sanctorum, the purchase in southeastern Michigan includes three dairy farms and approximately 2,250 acres of farmland. The total investment by Milk Source will be up to $90 million. The company expects to have up to 100 full-time employees with full benefits. PD
