From July 9-11, Alex and Mary Olson welcomed thousands of visitors to their farm. Breezy Hill Dairy, located in Barron County, Wisconsin, in the northwest corner of the state, was host to Farm Technology Days. Hundreds of volunteers from the county were there to help put on the show that travels to a new location each year.
Offering something for everyone, the show featured a youth tent, family living tent, arts and crafts tents, heritage equipment display and food tents featuring locally produced foods.
Those with livestock interests could tour the 485-cow dairy farm, visit the beef tent or spend time watching live demonstrations in the arena.

Crops were a key focus with field demonstrations running twice a day.
Various types of equipment for cutting, merging, chopping, raking, baling and field-application spraying took to the fields to showcase their performance.
Two ride-and-drive areas allowed visitors to grab hold of the controls on trucks, skid loaders, tractors with autosteering or guidance systems, 
and field-application sprayers.
Research plots within tent city showed different crop varieties, various cover crops and the effects of tillage, as well as displays for those with a horticultural interest.
It was evident by the hosts, the volunteers and the interest of the crowd how vital agriculture is to Barron County as well as the entire state. PD

MIDDLE: Farm tours by tram ran all day, every day of the show. Visitors could see the new milking parlor, freestall barns for milking and dry cows, feed storage and leachate collection area, and the two-stage manure lagoon.
