What are your new responsibilities?
My responsibilities are to assistdairy producers and dairy nutrition professionalswith improving dairy cowperformancethrough the use of Virtus fatty acid supplementsand by advancing the knowledge baseonfatty acid nutrition in general.
What territory will you cover?
I am a western area sales manager for Virtus Nutrition, covering Idaho and Utah. I live in Kimberly, Idaho.
Please describe your agricultural background.
I have experience in the agriculture industry in two different sides – both as a supplier and consultant,as well as having management and ownership roles.
What education are you bringing with you to this position?
I graduated from the University of Idaho with both my bachelor's and master's degrees in animal science and ruminant nutrition, respectively.
What previous positions have you held?
Previously, I was working as a nutrition consultant for a feed mill in the Magic Valley. I have also been a general manager for a large dairy herd in the valley as well.
How will you be of most help to producers in your region or area of expertise?
I believe my previous experiences allow me to help producers find ways to use products, like those the company offers, on farm in practical ways that will bring them the most efficient and beneficial results possible.

What goals would you like to accomplish while in this position?
If I can provide and distribute enough information to producers and those on their management team that they can make smart, informed decisions to make significant progress in their operations, I will consider it a success. PD
