Seventeen professional technicians, sales representatives, Select Mating Service (SMS) genetic consultants, beef specialists and information systems staff participated in Select Sires’ employee orientation March 25-26 at company headquarters in Plain City, Ohio.
They new employees were joined by 10 members of the World Wide Sires staff from Australia, New Zealand and California. Employees from six member cooperatives were present for the two-day event, where they were educated in serving the company’s customer-owners. Extensive sales training took place on March 27-28 for sales staff.
The participants were presented with in-depth information about the company’s programs including the Program for Genetic Advancement (PGA), Select Reproductive Solutions (SRS), SMS, StrataGEN, Aggressive Reproductive Solutions (ART) and Program for Fertility Advancement (PFA).
Instruction on the topics of reproductive solutions, fertility research, beef and dairy sire programs, cattle evaluation, herd management products and the company’s gender SELECTed process was given, as well as a detailed tour of its headquarter facilities. PD
