Before the farm bill finally passed, fourth-generation dairyman Brad Bouma was quoted by KJTV-TV of Lubbock in a story titled “Looming dairy cliff from the producer’s perspective.” Bouma spoke in favor of a policy that would move dairy closer to a free-market system.

Beverly Idsinga
Roosevelt County, New Mexico
Beverly Idsinga, whose family runs a dairy in Roosevelt County, was also approached by the media to comment on the expiring farm bill and the Dairy Security Act (DSA). Idsinga told the Albuquerque Journal that the DSA would stabilize the currently volatile market.
