The Galaxy Muddy Buddy from the Alliance Tire Group has introduced a super-deep-tread design to its lineup of skid steer tires. The company says that the Muddy Buddy’s extra-deep tread, shallow lug angle and sharp shoulders provide better traction on slick or slushy surfaces and offer more high-durability rubber for longer service life.
"The lugs’ sharp shoulder angle provides a superior grip on soft and uneven surfaces," says Seth Walters, vice president of marketing and supply chain for Alliance in Wakefield, Massachusetts.
“We engineered the Muddy Buddy specifically for long service and dependability in slick or muddy environments like dairy farms and other livestock operations,” Walters says, adding that the Muddy Buddy has also been "an instant hit" in the construction industry.
The Muddy Buddy is available in the most popular sizes for skid steer tires: 10-16.5 and 12-16.5.
