Dairy herdspersons, cow-care specialists and herd owners hungry for information and skills that can help them address dairy cow lameness are encouraged to attend one of two hoof care training workshops offered by the Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin.


The one-day hoof care training workshops will be conducted on Wednesday, April 20, in Marshfield, Wisconsin, and Thursday, April 21, in Chilton, Wisconsin. The Marshfield session will be held at the Marshfield Ag Research Station, 2611 E 29th Street, Marshfield; and the Chilton training will be held at the Fox Valley Technical College – Chilton Regional Center, 1200 East Chestnut, Hwy. 32/57 South, Chilton.

Workshop participants will rotate through four 75-minute hands-on learning labs. The workshops will provide new information and focus on high-level management tips that will challenge experienced dairy producers and cow-care specialists.

Individuals must register for each of the workshops, with attendance limited to 95 per workshop. Registration is $125 per person for PDPW members and $175 per person for non-members. This fee includes the full-day workshop as well as lunch on-site.
