In a recent poll, Progressive Forage Grower asked, “With lower-lignin alfalfa now available, will you try to tie up seed for 2015?”

The majority (57 percent) said, “No, I'll wait until I see more data.” However, 24 percent of our online readers indicated that they are going to try to use the new seed this next year. They said, “Yes, I've already contacted my seed dealer.”

The minority (19 percent) said that they are not planning to expand their alfalfa acreage in 2015.  FG
