Since 1991, Pioneer has sponsored the Forage Award given at the annual meeting of the American Dairy Science Association.
A Wisconsin native, Casper obtained a bachelor of science degree in 1983 from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville. He received both his master's degree and his Ph.D. from South Dakota State University in 1985 and 1989, respectively.
Casper has published more than 35 refereed journal articles, 60 abstracts and numerous popular press articles. He has received ADSA’s Richard M. Hoyt Award for the practical application of research to the dairy industry. FG
