The show took place in a cleared section of a cornfield allowing for plenty of space for the demonstration, parking and a catering trailer serving barbecue and salad.
Kelly Mai, a sales associate with Smith Equipment, managed the outing.
“We had lots of RSVPs for the demo today,” Mai said, “with about 40 more for the demo to be held on Thursday (September 22) in Rupert.” See below for slideshow of the event.
The Jamesway liquid manure injection system injects the liquid directly into the ground from a 7,400-gallon tanker with basically no odor.
“There are several other machines from different manufacturers that do the same process,” Mai said, “but Jamesway has really done their homework and they’ve perfected this.
We have unbelievable ground speed at eight and a half miles per hour with a lot of capacity to put on a lot of gallons per acre.”
Mick Zoske, the owner of the largest Jamesway dealership in the U.S., traveled all the way from Iowa Falls, Iowa, to run the tractor and trailer, and answer any questions the attendees might have had.
“The Jamesway trailer has independent suspension on the tank,” Zoske said. “It also has the highest lifting tool bar in the industry, which is great for going through waterways or for coming off the road and down into the field. You don’t drag the bar.”
