Chris Sukalski and her brother, Scott Reiland (Scott pictured here with his father, Alvin from a previous year) operate Reiland Farms in LeRoy, Minnesota.
They report that their area received as much as 8 inches of snow the week of April 18th, so they will be most likely be planting even later than last year.
And with more cool temperatures and rain in the forecast, they are not sure they'll even be able to plant by the first part of May.
Keith Dawydko is in Clarence, New York and reports that they are not planting yet, either. "It just keeps getting wetter with no end in site. The weather has been cold to very cold with some snow and very, very wet. When it rains it totals in inches. It is widespread throughout western New York from Lake Ontario into Pennsylvania. We can only pray for better weather."
What about you? How is the weather in your area? Have you been able to plant your crops yet?
