The Britespan Dairy Innovation Centre is a popular place for dairy producers to gather and see the latest products from a variety of companies working in a situation with live animals. This year, both Lely and DeLaval will be featuring new products.

The new Lely Astronaut A5 features will be installed in the barn and will be showcasing its user-friendly interface and a durable energy-efficient robotic arm.

The Lely Vector automatic feeding system will be in action to display how it provides cows with fresh and well-balanced feed rations several times during the day.

The latest Lely Juno automatic feed pusher will be demonstrating its many new features, including a skirt lifter to enable the pusher to pass over small obstacles and provide clearance for the robot to drive on slopes with an incline up to 15 percent.

DeLaval’s new voluntary milking system will be in action to give producers an up-close-and-personal look at the equipment.

With a dedicated ICAR-approved milk meter for each teat, VMS V300 has taken milking to a new level, delivering incredible gains for animal welfare and productivity.

DeLaval will also be featuring the DelPro Companion, a new mobile app that puts full herd management capabilities where producers in either robotic or conventional milking systems can view cow lists, record data, remotely access their herd’s activities and more.

OptiDuo is the latest feeding solution from DeLaval and will be on display as well. This product keeps fresh feed in front of cattle and also remixes it as it pushes it towards the cows.

While at the show, stop by the EastGen Dairy Producers Pavilion to see a number of dairy-related exhibitors all in one place.

The Livestock Pavilion will also feature a variety of dairy-specific companies. To view an exhibitor list and map of these pavilions, visit Outdoor Farm Show online.

The VIP dairy producer brunch is a popular event hosted on Sept. 13 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. in the special events tent. Enjoy a hearty breakfast before you take in the show and network with sponsors and fellow dairy producers.

Tickets for this event will be distributed through sponsors, which include Grandview Concrete Grooving, Grand Valley Fortifiers, Farm Credit Canada, Ontario Dairy Farmer, Progressive Dairy Operators, Blythe Brae Farms, GEA and Pioneer.
